Regroup and Recharge

After the prep and excitement of getting ready for and actually going to Indian Market September is my time to regroup and rest a little before the market madness that is October. When I say rest a little, I mean little. I still need to finish a few things before the SEASAM and Cherokee Art markets and I have a small show happening this month at the Jacobson House in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Jacobson House is a Native Art Center that is on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. It is a historic home that was gifted to the University and their purpose is to preserve the legacy of Oscar Jacobson and his wife who built the home while also honoring the work of the "Kiowa six" and the art of all Native American students. As the semester is just getting underway there was an opportunity for a local artist to display their work and I answered the call. Norman is my home base so this was the perfect opportunity to exhibit my work and my style of Native American artwork with the students and patrons who frequent The Jacobson House. The work will be on display through the end of the month for anyone who has time to stop by and take a look. I have several pieces and they have a great permanent collection as well.
